Respect Life Committee

We celebrated the SJW/HF Respect Life Committee Life Fest 2006 with Barlow Girl!

Who We Are
The Holy Family and St Joseph the Worker Respect Life Committee established Lifefest to celebrate life. The Committee was formed in 2003 to help the youth of the churches form an understanding that all human life is good and sacred.
Since our inception, we have searched for ways to reach more of the community’s youth. We have erected signs, collected newborn items for birthright, given out roses for Mother’s day and other life affirming events.
In the Spring of 2004 we held a dual parish wide event that included speakers, an essay contest and speaking contest in Lake Crystal, MN.
We decided to take a larger step in the Spring of 2005. We hired Christian Artist Jason Gay to perform. This was a fun filled evening for our youth in Mankato, MN.
On April 22nd, 2006 Lifefest 2006 celebrated life as an area-wide ecumenical event.

Our Goals
a) To bring a clear message of Respect for Life, Families and Abstinence.
b) To provide wholesome Chrisitian entertainment for the youth.
c) To facilitate youthful witness and fellowship
