Iowa Supreme Court Says There is No Fundamental Right to Abortion

Here is a link to a story from the National Right to Life News about today’s decision from the Iowa Supreme Court. In a 2018 case, the Iowa Supreme Court found a fundamental right to an abortion in its state constitution. The Court has saw overruled that decision.

If the US Supreme Court overrules Roe and Casey, state constitutions will become more significant in the battle over abortion. This ruling from the Iowa Supreme Court is likely to prove important as these battles play out in state courts.
