Kansas Supreme Court recognizes Right to Abortion under State Constitution

Here is a link to an opinion by the Kansas Supreme Court recognizing a right to abortion under the state Constitution. The Court struck down the Kansas Unborn Child Protection from Dismemberment Abortion Act, which was passed in 2015.

This is an important ruling because the opinion means that the right to abortion would still be protected in Kansas even if the US Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey.
