Florida Supreme Court Rejects State Right to Abortion

Here is a link to a National Right to Life News story about two decisions from the Florida Supreme Court. The Court rejected the argument that the Florida Constitution’s right to privacy protects the right to abortion. The case  upheld a law prohibiting most abortions after 15 weeks and paves the way for Florida’s heartbeat law, which would prohibit most abortions after 6 weeks.

The Court also, in another case, allowed a ballot measure that would protect the right to abortion to be placed on the ballot in November 2024.
